This home page will change shortly - however for the purpose of this week - Here is our homework fun we talked about last class.
The first activity (that will be assessed) is a Questioning Activity 5. Using the Module called - The Importance of Questioning.
Please read and complete the exercises from Sections 1-4; prior to completing Activity 5.
You will do the activity as it is written in the module: Activity 5 Read #1, 2, 3, 4. But you will be choosing different figures - Chemistry Figures (see attachment below).
These figures correspond with the Grade 11 and 12 Chemistry Curriculum, (University and College levels)
You will pick only ONE of these figures for our Chemistry class (Tuesday, September 27th). You will work in the collaborative groups from Friday's class (Group of 3). Each member of the group will only create questions for a figure to make the process on Tuesday work smoother. Looking forward to hearing your questions and seeing your accompanying visuals.
Visuals or Manipulatives should be brought into class on Tuesday - used to support your questioning.
For each round: One person will role play the teacher (ask their sequence of questions); One person will be the student and answer (their own responses) and one person will be the recorder (and record the actual answers). Then, you will debrief before you switch roles. This process will take approximately 1 hour or so on Tuesday).
Sample questioning is provided below...
You will present to your group of peers - Collaborative Groups - Next Tuesday, September 27th, 2011
I have been made aware of the fact that you can order the Curriculum guides for your teachables (at least science anyways). You can go to www.publications.serviceontario.ca and create an account. The cost for these documents is free.
